This optically linearized modulator is designed for externally modulated applications that require high linearity, such as CATV, anaolg optical link and Sub-Carrier Modulation (SCM). It consists of dual cascaded Mach-Zehnder Interferometers, connected with directional couplers of sepcific coupling angle. Comparing to regular modulator, this design provide enhanced performance in CNR, CSO, CTB and dyaminc range. The modulator has two RF input port and two optical fiber output ports. The modulation bandwidth is 1GHz (with 1.0 dB of flatness).
