The QAMnet rEDFA series of Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifiers (EDFA) are reliable and cost-effective optical amplifiers. rEDFA series EDFAs are designed to boost optical signal level in DWDM, HFC, FTTH, PON and laboratory applications. By combining 980 nm/1480 nm pump laser modules and high efficiency Erbium doped fiber, rEDFA amplifiers can deliver output up to +24 dBm, while maintaining low noise figure (NF) of 5.0dB.
rEDFA series are booster type EDFAs that can be used for general optical amplification for all signal level in C-Band wavelength range, from 1528nm to 1563nm. For optimal performance, it requires a optical input level between -5dBm to +7dBm. rEDFA series is housed in a standard 19” 1RU rack mount unit. Up to 8 output connectors can be installed in one unit.
