The QAMnet rEDFA series of Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifiers (EDFA) are reliable and cost-effective optical amplifiers. rEDFA series EDFAs are designed to boost optical signal level in DWDM, HFC, FTTH, PON and laboratory applications. By combining 980 nm/1480 nm pump laser modules and high efficiency Erbium doped fiber, rEDFA amplifiers can deliver output up to +21 dBm per port (2 ports), while maintaining low noise figure (NF) of 5.0dB.
rEDFA series are booster type EDFAs that can be used for general optical amplification for all signal level in C-Band wavelength range, from 1528nm to 1563nm. For optimal performance, it requires a optical input level between -5dBm to +7dBm. rEDFA series is housed in a standard 19” 1RU rack mount unit.
