The SWL-1550M is a turn-key solution for fiber sensor interrogator, Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), and other optical sensing applications. Inside a sturdy anodized-aluminum housing, the SWL-1550M contains a tunable optical filter, a control board, and a broadband optical amplifier. Through the electrical voltage input, the SWL-1550M is a laser source that provides a fast, continuous wavelength sweeping from 1525 nm to 1590 nm.
The optional RS-232 port will provide laser status monitoring and laser control functions. This laser requires a single 12 V DC power supply to initiate as well as an additional voltage source for wavelength sweeping and tuning. A 12 V DC power supply with an AC adaptor is included with each SWL-1550M module.
